Located in Ton Sai Bay, Monkey Beach is a popular destination for tourists daring enough to feed wild monkeys. Being just a short swim from where Captain Bob can anchor, it is a must that you bring your waterproof camera or borrow one of Captain Bob’s Dry Poaches. If you forgot your camera, or don’t want to risk getting your non water proof camera wet, an underwater digital camera is available for rent (500 baht) on the boat.
Viking Cave contains 800 year-old cave drawings found on the cave walls that resemble ancient Chinese sailing ships. A very significant cultural artifact that not only enthralls many tourists but it also happens to be home to a thriving bird nest soup industry. For this reason, no one is allowed in the cave. However, Captain Bob will get you close enough to take some great pictures while he eloquently briefs you on the history of Viking Cave.
Loh Samah Bay
Loh Samah Bay is a very popular snorkeling spot where sharks and turtles are often spotted. It is surrounded by gigantic limestone walls with one of the prettiest beaches in all of Thailand. A small archway through the rock face makes it possible, after a 5-minute jungle stroll, to arrive at the more popular Maya Beach.
Popularized by the Alex Garland book The Beach, and later the movie “The Beach”, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Maya Bay has become the most popular attraction in all of Koh Phi Phi. Once there you will find it hard to leave this stunningly beautiful bay that’s sheltered by soaring cliffs and three beautiful beaches.
Other destinations include Pi-Leh Bay Lagoon for kayaking and Wang Long Bay for “The Kissing Rock Faces” at sunset. Throughout the trip, there are plenty of opportunities for some deep water soloing, snorkeling, and kayaking.

In order to join the Booze Cruise, you need to plan to stay one night on Koh Phi Phi as there are no public transports back to Phuket or Krabi after the trip. If you plan to join the cruise on the same day as you leave Phuket or Krabi, you HAVE TO take the 8.30am ferry (Phuket) or 9am ferry (Krabi) in order to reach Koh Phi Phi before the cruise departure. It will also give you enough time to check into your hotel before joining the cruise.
Be aware that some areas of the island are isolated, which means that you'll need a private transport (longtail boat) to get in and out of the main island area, where the cruise leaves and returns. We recommend that you book your hotel in Loh Dalum Bay, Tonsay Bay areas (Tonsai Village) if you don't want to hire private transports.
